Year one of the Dad Crue campout May 2015!!! @crittersroam and I set out from the cascade lakes highway at the entrance to Todd lake on foot. After a few miles of walking on dirt we finally switched over to skins and made our way to camp. It was hard and mostly unknown but we had a goal to snowboard on Broken Top mountain. That first year taught us many lessons about traveling in the snow to camp and moving around on foot power. It’s truly unbelievable looking back at it with our crazy heavy packs, not enough food, and water but we made it. Every great tradition has to start somewhere. Happy Aaron had this idea to go snow camping and it started something that has grown over the years into the DAD CRUE CAMPOUT
